Rochester-Toronto ferry to sail April 30, 2004

Just in time for the high-speed ferry from Rochester, CityPass is bringing it's trademark discount book to Toronto. The ferry across Lake Ontario will link Rochester and Toronto beginning April 30, and the Toronto CityPass goes on sale April 1.

The pass is good for nine days from the date of first use and covers admission to the CN Tower, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Royal Ontario Museum, the elegant 98-room Casa Loma (a historic residence), the Ontario Science Centre and the Toronto Zoo.

The Ferry crossing will take about two hours, and two or three round-trip voyages are planned daily. Driving between the two cities usually takes three to four hours, and far longer during miles-long backups at the border near Niagara Falls.

The ship -- five stories high and as long as a football field -- can carry 750 people, 220 cars and 10 trucks and buses. It will have a business-class section with wireless Internet service as well as lounges, a restaurant and a bar, two movie theaters and a children's play area

.

One-way, walk-on fares have been set at $25 a person, while fares for most cars and light sport-utility vehicles are $40. To make a ferry reservation, (877) 825-3774 or visit www.thebreeze.com.

A Toronto CityPass will cost $35.18 for adults and $21.80 for children 4 to 12. You can buy it at any participating attraction, order nine at www.citypass.com or call (888) 330-5008.
