Pendo and Amani

Pendo and Amani came from the SPCA in February of 2004. They were at the Tompkins County SPCA only for a few days, long enough to get fixed, before moving to the Yates Motel. It is estimated that they were born in March 2003. They are a brother and sister pair from the same litter. It is believed they are a terrier mix, probably Norwich and Cairn.

Amani is the smaller of the two dogs, weighing in at about 12 pounds. Amani is the Swalihi word for "love". Because of the long hair on the tips of her ears, she has gotten the nickname of "Yoda". She is more of a snuggler than her brother. She also goes by "Princess Amani". Pendo is the bigger of the two dogs, weighing in at about 17 pounds. Pendo is the Swalihi word for "love". He has gotten the nickname "JP" for "Jealous Pendo".
